Chris Anstey

Chris has worked in the food and consumer goods business for thirty years, first in farming, then retailing and now helping change as an independent consultant. A qualified horticulturalist, he spent fifteen years in farming around the world and managed large fruit farms and pack houses supplying supermarkets.

 He has written a number of white papers for clients about private sector policies and has written the Position Paper for the IDH. He manages the governance process for the Better Cotton Fast Track Programme.

As well as working on sustainable supply chains, he also advises on strategic planning, management training and leadership. Clients include the Sustainable Food Lab, The Sustainable Trade Initiative and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Previously, he spent 15 years at Tesco working on policy, supply chain standards, and supplier performance:
