Marieke Meeusen
Director Operations The Sustainability Consortium.
 Marieke Meeusen, born on February 15th, 1962, started working for Wageningen UR in 1987. She worked – as a researcher - on several issues on sustainability in food chains: bio energy, bio fuels, LCA’s, organic farming. Since 2010 she is vice head of the research group “Consumer and Behaviour”. The focus of the research is on what consumers eat, why and what factors determine the eating habits of consumers. The group consists of researchers of different disciplines: psychology, economics, sociology, strategic marketing. Marieke Meeusen leads the research on supply chain and consumer issues of organic products within Wageningen UR. She is also Director Operations of The Sustainability Consortium.
